Alpha (codename) (“company”) is a rapidly scaling, VC-funded consumer brand with strong online and offline distribution. The company was preparing for its next fundraise, where timely completion of due diligence was critical as part of the process agreed upon between the company and the incoming investor.

The company was required to complete financial, tax, and legal due diligence within 45 days as part of investor commitments. Easemint was brought in to manage and assisting in getting the financial diligence done within this tight timeline from a investor appointed due diligence team

While the company had an internal finance team, the challenge was speed and structure. Yellow (codename) (“company”) is a multi-location, family-owned enterprise with operations spread across various verticals and geographies. As part of a large PE-led transaction, the company underwent a financial and tax vendor due diligence (VDD) exercise.

The business did not have a consolidated view of its operations across entities or locations. Easemint was brought in to prepare five years of MIS, allocate annual costs to quarterly financials, and build a structured data set that reconciled with the audited numbers. We worked closely with internal teams to standardize formats and ensure uniformity across business units.

We coordinated extensively with the VDD partner to drive the financial and tax diligence process. This included sharing validated data, discussing key areas of the report, addressing limitations proactively, and ensuring all proposed adjustments were backed by clear justifications and supporting data. The result: a seamless VDD with no major red flags or data integrity issues.
